Energinet will provide higher compensation to landowners at Baltic Pipe

Energinet has decided to raise the rates for compensation for so-called structural damage to the Baltic Pipe construction project, after a study shows that the damage to agricultural land will be greater than initially assumed. Energinet states this in a press release.

- We have always worked to provide compensation for structural damage immediately instead of waiting for the damage to become apparent. Now we have received documentation that we can expect greater damage than we initially expected. Therefore, we also think it is fair that we raise the rates so that they better match the damage we can expect to come, says Ole Daugaard Buhl, Chief Consultant at Energinet.

Energinet recently announced that the work on Zealand was delayed by a good six months. Here too, Energinet has stated that it is ready to compensate the affected landowners for the extended work.
