The board of directors of Danske Havne has reconstituted itself on March 19. Thus, the industry association has a new chairman in the form of Thomas Elm Kampmann, who will become the new chairman of the board, while Rune D. Rasmussen, who is the director of ADP, will become deputy chairman.
The new management is at the helm of the organization at a time when green transition, security of supply and interaction with industry and the transport sector are central agendas. The new board will work to strengthen the role of ports in the green transition and secure investments in sustainable solutions. It is a task that the new chairman is looking forward to.
- I have been in the port industry for many years and have never seen such major changes as at the moment. This is happening especially against the backdrop of increasing geopolitical tensions and climate challenges, which have changed the conditions of the ports and are creating new political goals, demands and priorities. I look forward to continuing the good work at Danish Ports, so that together we can ensure that our ports stand strong and support Denmark's position as a leading maritime nation, says Thomas Elm Kampmann in a press release.
Thomas Elm Kampmann takes over from Carsten Aa, director of Odense Port, who has been chairman since 2019. However, he will retain his place as an ordinary member of the board.
