On Wednesday, the Danish Offshore industry association held its annual conference, the Danish Offshore Safety Conference, in Esbjerg Musikhus
At the conference, the annual Danish Offshore Safety Award was presented and in 2024 it went to Altrad's Integrity Recovery Project Team (IRP). The IRP team won this year's award because they have distinguished themselves in several ways, Dansk Offshore states in a press release.
"The team has managed to complete two years of work without any incidents. In addition, the IRP team always puts safety at the top of the agenda in everything they do. They make a virtue of using stop cards and continuously evaluate their tasks and procedures. The team's constant focus on safety and its proactive approach to risk assessments make them a role model for others when it comes to safe work processes," reads the motivation for the award of the Safety Award 2024 to the IRP team.
Dansk Offshore's CEO Martin Næsby is pleased to present the award.
- Focus on safety is and has always been a fundamental element in our industry, and we think it is important that we not only come together around the theme of the annual safety conference but also pay tribute to one of our members who has excelled and become a role model. We need examples for compliance, and we need to emphasize that it is always important to put safety first, says Martin Næsby.
Every year, Dansk Offshore, which is the industry organization for oil, gas and CCS, awards the offshore safety award, which is awarded to a person, team or organization that has made an extraordinary effort to increase safety for its employees or colleagues.
The other nominees for the Safety Award 2024 were Heidi Gaardbo from INEOS Energy and Johanna Schmidt from TotalEnergies.
