The Port of Aabenraa and Linde Gas have entered into a new collaboration which, according to the ambition, will result in a number of sustainable, hydrogen-based products at the Port of Aabenraa using Power-to-X.
The two parties will therefore investigate the possibilities of establishing an electroanalysis plant at Aabenraa Harbour, which will transform green energy from wind turbines in, for example, the North Sea into green hydrogen.
– The entire infrastructure is in place for industrial production. The cables for power from offshore wind turbines have been established and 600 MW of electricity is available at the port. In addition, there is truck transport infrastructure and a port on the doorstep. This means that future producers of hydrogen-based products can both have raw materials shipped to their companies and the finished products transported further by sea, says CEO of Aabenraa Havn Henrik Thykjær.
