ESG network to strengthen sustainability work in the water and district heating sector.
Dansk Fjernvarme

The water and district heating sector will have a common ESG network

Danva and Danish District Heating are establishing a new joint network to strengthen work on environmental, social and management issues in the utilities sector.

Danva and Dansk Fjernvarme are now joining forces to establish a joint ESG network that will strengthen the work on environmental, social and management issues across the water and district heating sector.

This is stated by Dansk Fjernvarme in a press release.

The new initiative builds on the increasing demand for common methods, guidelines and exchange of experience among the utility companies. ESG is present in both regulation, customer requirements and expectations from the authorities, and therefore the two industry organizations are joining forces to support more uniform work in the sector, it says.

The network is jointly organized by Danva and Dansk Fjernvarme and is free of charge for utility members of the two organizations. The goal is to create a forum with a focus on knowledge sharing and practical experiences between the companies.

The ESG network is open to all water and district heating companies - both those who are already working intensively with ESG reporting and those who are about to take the first steps.

At the first meeting, which will be held on March 2, participants will receive an introduction to key ESG themes, presentations from companies and dialogue on which topics the network should work on further.
