Capture, use and storage of CO2 - better known as CCUS - will be a central tool in the green transition and a necessary effort to meet global climate goals.
Therefore, Green Hub Denmark, Clean and Triangle Energy Alliance will build a bridge across the Atlantic and share experiences with the project "Capture North".
Capture North builds on Green Hub Denmark and Clean's multi-year Danish engagement in Alberta, Canada. Since 2022, the collaboration has brought together companies, research institutions and public actors on concrete activities within CO2 capture, use and storage and built a strong network.
- CCUS is an important tool in the work towards Denmark's and the EU's climate goals, but development in Denmark is still being slowed down by a lack of regulation, financing and access to large-scale testing facilities. With Capture North, we will strengthen Danish actors' access to knowledge, networks and experiences and create closer business relationships, says Michael Stie Laugesen, Project Manager at Green Hub Denmark.
Based on previous successes, the effort in Alberta continues and expands with a focus on California to capture new trends, solutions and approaches within CCUS, according to a press release.
