Danish energy executive Mads Gade has been appointed CEO of Ineos Energy Europe and will thus become part of the global management of the oil company. He has previously been commercial director and country manager for the Danish business. This is reported by the daily newspaper Børsen.
Mads Gade will now be in charge of around 500 employees across Europe. He points out that oil and gas continue to play an important role in the European energy supply, even though the transition to renewable energy is underway.
- We cannot do without oil and gas in Europe, says Mads Gade, CEO of Ineos Energy Europe.
He has been responsible for, among other things, the Danish Greensand project, which aims to store CO2 underground and reduce Denmark's emissions by 2.3 million tons annually from 2030.
