Casa dos Ventos and Vestas have entered into a new agreement to supply 184 V150-4.5 MW turbines for the Dom Inocêncio wind complex in the south-central part of the state of Piauí in Brazil. The project has a total capacity of 828 MW and will be one of the country's largest wind projects. Vestas announced this in a statement.

The construction of the wind farm is scheduled to begin in 2026 and be completed in 2028. In addition to supplying the turbines, Vestas will be responsible for construction management and operation and maintenance for 25 years under an AOM 5000 agreement. The project represents an investment of over DKK 5 billion and is expected to be able to supply around 2 million households with electricity.

- Through our partnership with Vestas, we are bringing solutions that deliver the reliability and performance that a project of this size requires. The agreement demonstrates our commitment to supporting the expansion of Brazil's renewable energy mix and will also contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the region, says Lucas Araripe, CEO of Casa dos Ventos.

The project is expected to create around 8,500 direct and indirect jobs and strengthen the local supply chain through technical services, innovation and training. The Dom Inocêncio project is also the first major wind initiative in Brazil since 2023 and marks a comeback for major investments in the country's wind sector.
