Energy group Verdo expects more than a halving of its revenue in the coming years, when Verdo will divest the divisions Verdo Go Green and Verdo Teknik. According to CEO Jesper Vinter Barslund, revenue will fall from 2.7 billion DKK in 2025 to around 1 billion DKK in 2027, but with higher quality and better profitability, writes Energiwatch.
The divestments follow the liquidation of Verdo Trading, where the activities have been transferred to the former American subsidiary Carbon Partners via a management buy-out. Go Green is the most valuable unit with great interest from the industry, while Teknik has become profitable again after a more challenging period.
- We are in the initial phase for both companies and are slowly starting to make contact with potential buyers, says Jesper Vinter Barslund to the media. At the same time, Energy Systems continues as an independent company with a focus on fewer, more profitable projects that will contribute to financing district heating infrastructure and curb rising heating prices.
