Vattenfall has found its new CEO and president from within its own ranks, with the board appointing CFO Anna Borg as the new CEO, Vattenfall said in a press release.
Anna Borg replaces Magnus Hall, who announced his retirement in July. Magnus Hall has been CEO and president of Vattenfall since October 2014.
- I am proud to be appointed to lead Vattenfall into the next phase of our strategy to become fossil-free within a single generation. We have a clear strategy and I look forward to ensuring that we remain focused on our ambitious plans in collaboration with our talented employees, says Anna Borg.
Anna Borg will take up the position on 1 November. Vattenfall said that it has started the search for a new CFO.
She has been with Vattenfall since 1999 in a number of senior positions with a short stint at Nordic Klarna in the period 2015-2017.
