OK a.m.b.a. was able to present the result for 2022 on Tuesday, which is the group's best ever. The result was achieved in a market situation that is characterized by strong competition in all markets. There are several factors that mean that the result for 2022 is 1.1 billion. billion, says Michael Løve, CEO of OK and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kamstrup.

- First of all, the result shows that our concepts work. OK has an important role for mobility in Denmark and for the everyday lives of Danes. At the same time, we have become a strong player in the market for energy for the home, and many customers have chosen OK. This is particularly positive in a year when Danes have been very price-conscious and have really had to save on energy to get things going, says Michael Løve, he continues:

- Next, we have had some cyclical gains in 2022 and profited from our oil stocks due to global fluctuations. So it must of course be included in the equation that approximately DKK 157 million of the result is due to these external factors, which can fluctuate greatly from year to year.

Green transition must take up more space

OK has just completed a major strategy work, and towards 2030 the goal is to invest large sums in transforming OK from being a distinct fuel company to an energy company with a leading charging network.

- As a customer-owned company and supplier of fossil products, we actually feel that it is our duty. Not just to make new alternatives available, but to get all Danes on board. This means that we will offer green solutions that are attractive. We will make green solutions accessible. We want to make it as easy as possible to be green, says Michael Løve.

In the area of home heating, OK has sold more heat pumps this year than the year before, and the war in Ukraine and the resulting sharp increase in gas prices have further fueled the great interest in heat pumps.

- Sales of heat pumps show a growth of 100% in the private market, and there are still many perspectives in this market, because more and more people will inevitably have to move away from gas and oil boilers in the coming years, says Michael Løve.

OK's CEO also has no doubts about the perspectives in the markets for intelligent energy monitoring, where the OK Group includes the companies Kamstrup and EnergiData. Despite the global component shortage, the group's largest subsidiary Kamstrup had historically many orders and growth, especially in the USA, in 2022. Similarly, EnergiData, which provides energy monitoring and optimization to companies, has also experienced very strong growth both at home and abroad.

- This is an expression of the huge potential that exists in the spread of smart meters and solutions to reduce our total consumption and climate footprint worldwide, says Michael Løve.

The turnover in the OK Group for 2022 is 19.5 billion DKK compared to last year's 12.3 billion DKK, and the result of 1.095 billion DKK results in a tax payment of 251 million DKK and a distribution of 250 million DKK to OK's co-owners.
