A busy year with high offshore activity has given Nicon Industries significant financial progress. The company has doubled its equity to almost 79 million DKK, cut its debt by 60 million DKK and improved its solvency to 42.1 percent. The company, which works with steel structures for ships, crane vessels and energy platforms, has also increased its gross profit by 45 percent to 79.5 million DKK and achieved a profit before tax of 43.6 million DKK. This corresponds to an increase of 90 percent compared to the previous year. This has led to a dividend to the owners of 31.4 million DKK, writes JydskeVestkysten.
"The year's result is better than expected, which is due to a significantly higher level of activity than anticipated," reads the management report in the annual accounts from Nicon Industries.
Average employment in the company Deusen increased to 34 full-time equivalents, and management estimates that momentum will continue into 2025, supported by a strong capital structure and increasing demand from the offshore wind sector. Nicon will be the first tenant in a new 4,580 square meter assembly hall, which is being built with solar cells and is expected to be ready by the end of the year.
