The closure of Siemens Gamesa's production of wind turbine parts in Brande creates uncertainty about future tasks for subcontractors. Terranor Danmark A/S, which has previously been involved in special transports of large components, does not necessarily see the future as bleak. This is reported by TV MIDTVEST.
The company was responsible for preparing the road network when large wind turbine parts were transported from Brande to Hvide Sande in December 2024 and later from Hanstholm to Østerild. The task required, among other things, extra asphalt and the temporary removal of road signs to make room for the transports. Even though the production in Brande is now closing, Terranor believes that it will not have a decisive impact.
- They haven't produced wind turbine parts in Brande for a long time now, so it doesn't change much for us, says Ivan Pedersen, CEO of Terranor Danmark A/S.
He points out that Siemens Gamesa operates in 81 countries, and that there are other manufacturers in the industry who can also create similar tasks. Therefore, he does not rule out that the company could again become involved in large special transports.
