Esbjerg Municipality has recently spent over DKK 1.1 million on renovating Skads Mosevej, which is part of the roads in the municipality that provide a basis for approximately 2,500 wind turbine transports to the Port of Esbjerg each year. The bill, which member of the Planning & Environment Committee in the municipality Hans Erik Møller (S) recently pleaded for, should be sent to the wind turbine manufacturers, but the chairman of the Planning & Environment Committee, Henning Ravn (V), rejects it, writes JydskeVestkysten.
- It is general maintenance, and in the past five years we have spent a total of one and a half million kroner on Skads Mosevej. The road was originally a gravel road, and that amount includes 350,000 kroner, which in 2019 cost to carry out a surface treatment with tumbled rubble in two layers due to dust nuisance. And on Krogsgårdsvej, where the transports also run, less than 25,000 kroner has been spent on it during that time. As a road authority, we have an obligation to maintain our road network so that it is safe to drive on, says Henning Ravn.
According to the chairman, Esbjerg Municipality had an annual budget for the maintenance of roads and paths of 30.5 million kroner in 2023.
