In a new inspiration catalogue from KL and the Confederation of Danish Industry, the two organisations highlight five cases that show how green transition can take place in close interaction between climate considerations and local business development.

- If we as a society are to achieve our climate goals, it is absolutely crucial that we all work in the same direction. Across the country, municipalities and businesses are already working closely together on green solutions, says chairman of the Municipal Climate Action Committee Frank Schmidt Hansen (K).

- With this publication, we hope to inspire even more cooperation between municipalities and businesses on initiatives that benefit the climate, businesses and democracy, he adds.

The five cases deal with, among other things, public procurement, recycling of materials and energy plants.

- It is precisely the local anchoring and joint efforts that make it possible to translate ambitions into action and drive Denmark towards a CO2-neutral society, says Anne Højer Simonsen, Deputy Director and Climate Manager at DI.

The case collection follows the conclusion of a partnership between the Confederation of Danish Industry and the Municipal Climate Action Committee on behalf of KL. The partnership is to support the green transition through joint cooperation.
