The Danish Energy Agency and Frederikshavn Municipality are now launching a public consultation on the environmental impact report for the Frederikshavn Offshore Wind Farm in the period 25 May 2022 – 5 August 2022, the agency announced in a press release.
During the consultation period, the agency invites citizens, organizations, authorities and others who may be affected by the project to submit comments on the establishment permit.
In the Frederikshavn Offshore Wind Farm project, European Energy wants to erect five offshore wind turbines at a height of up to 256 meters with a total installed capacity of up to 72 MW located in an area on the sea off Frederikshavn south of Hirsholmene. The turbine area is located four kilometers from the coast at Frederikshavn and 1.8 km from the coast at Hirsholmene. The offshore wind farm is expected to be connected to the electricity grid at the existing 60 kV station at Starbakke.
