After 27 years at Bunker Holding - including 12 as CEO - Keld R. Demant is stepping down as CEO of the world's largest bunker company and handing over the position to 39-year-old Peder Møller, who will start on October 6.
This was announced by Bunker Holding in a press release on Tuesday morning.
Under Keld R. Demant's leadership, Bunker Holding has grown from a turnover of 0.2 billion USD to 13.7 billion USD in the most recent financial year and has established over 60 offices in more than 30 countries with 1,300 employees globally. But it will not be a final farewell either, as Keld R. Demant will continue as senior advisor to the parent company USTC.
- The Board of Directors would like to thank you for your significant efforts over the years. But the bunker industry is in the midst of a new transformation, and the time is therefore ripe to bring new and different competencies to the table, something that Peder brings to the table to a great extent, says Chairman of the Board Klaus Nyborg.
At the same time, he emphasizes that Peder Møller brings new competencies to the table in an industry under change, and that he has also been a key person in the development and implementation of the current Fit For Future strategy in Bunker Holding, which is why it is natural to point to him as the new CEO.
Peder Møller previously worked as CEO of the sister company Global Risk Management and also has experience from the Carlsberg Group. He has a master's degree from Copenhagen Business School, an Executive MBA from INSEAD and Executive Leadership training from Harvard Business School.
