BORNHOLM: A unanimous board of directors of Bornholms Energi og Forsyning (BEOF) has approved the sale of El-Net Øst (the electricity grid on Bornholm) to Ewii for a price of 657 million DKK. A deal that comes after several years of cooperation.
- BEOF has collaborated with EWII for a number of years, including on procurement, and we know each other quite well. EWII is skillfully run and has a size that means that there will be obvious opportunities to exploit synergies, develop the company and simply be more efficient than BEOF, says Lars Goldschmidt, who is chairman of the board of directors of BEOF.
18 employees from EL-Net Øst will join the EWII group. In practice, El-Net Øst will continue as an independent subsidiary of Ewii, and will, among other things, continue to have its own board of directors. The transfer of El-Net Øst to EWII has been initiated and will continue over the coming months.
