ESBJERG: Krogsgårdsvej just outside Esbjerg is probably not a road that many people know about. But the road is actually important for the wind turbine industry. The country road is the main artery from several wind turbine factories and out to the Port of Esbjerg. However, the many turbine transports are a great nuisance for the residents on the road, who complain about disturbed sleep at night, just as they do not believe the road is geared for the large turbine parts, writes DR.dk.

The citizens on the road now fear that the problems will only get worse, but the Folketing's latest plans for a major expansion of Danish offshore wind capacity. In Esbjerg, the mayor acknowledges the problem, which he believes is a consequence of a development in the wind turbine industry that "has surprised everyone". However, the municipality cannot solve the problems on Krogsgårdsvej itself.

- It will not be cheap to create a solution. And it is not something that Esbjerg Municipality can handle alone. And it is not Esbjerg Municipality's problem alone. Therefore, the state has to come in, says Esbjerg's mayor, Jesper Frost (V).

He has therefore contacted Transport Minister Thomas Danielsen (V). However, the minister will wait for an analysis of the problems before he takes a position on the matter, he informs DR.
