One of the largest green energy projects in Vejle Municipality is under preparation. A hybrid energy park with wind turbines, solar cells, batteries and possibly PtX and biogas is planned between Give and Thyregod. This is reported by Vejle Amts Folkeblad.

- It all starts now. We have deliberately chosen to enter into dialogue early, before anything is fixed - except for the wind turbines, where the location has already been defined, says Jesper Houe, country manager at Eurowind Energy.

The central element of the project will be 11 wind turbines of up to 180 meters in height with a rotor diameter of up to 170 meters. The turbines are positioned so that they comply with the distance requirements for housing. According to the legislation, there must be at least four times the height of the turbine to the nearest residence.

The other parts of the energy park, including around 150 hectares of solar cells and a possible biogas plant, are still under consideration. Eurowind Energy will involve the local population through working groups before a formal application is expected to be submitted to Vejle Municipality around the summer of 2025.

If the project is later approved and implemented, it will trigger a green pool of almost 38 million DKK for local purposes as well as a voluntary annual distribution of up to 1.2 million DKK.
