The number of public charging points in Denmark reached a new milestone at the end of 2024 with a total of 30,439 points. This is an increase of 69.5 percent compared to the previous year. This is written by Mobility Denmark in a press release.

- The charging infrastructure continues to grow, which is positive. With the expected increase in the number of electric cars that we see in the coming years, it is crucial to ensure that there are enough charging points to meet the need. If car taxes continue to make it attractive to choose an electric car, we can see up to 1.6 million. electric cars on the roads in 2030. Therefore, we must continue to prioritize the expansion of the charging infrastructure to support the green transition, says Allan Skytte Christensen, Chief Consultant at Mobility Denmark.
Allan Skytte Christensen also highlights the need for better competitive conditions in the charging market, so that consumers can get better prices and greater accessibility.

He takes over the position as Chief Consultant from Lars Madsen, who has held the position since 2019.
