DRAGØR: It was a short adventure for Dragør Fjernvarme. The company was supposed to achieve a district heating connection of 65 percent in 2024 in order to receive a municipal loan guarantee, but that never happened. Now the shutdown is costing the municipality millions, writes Klimamonitor.
This also means that Dragør Municipality must pay 9.6 million DKK to close the company, among other things covered by a cash draw of 5.6 million DKK.
- I am both annoyed and saddened on behalf of the 35 percent who had agreed to district heating. But now we have to decide on the liquidation of the company, and I would just like to recommend the Economic Committee's recommendation, says Helle Barth, member of the municipal council for the Liberal Party.
