Green Power Denmark has opened nominations for the Green Power Award 2025, which this year focuses on locally rooted green energy projects. The award celebrates initiatives that engage the local community in the green transition. The deadline for nominations is March 4. The trade organization states this in a press release.
- The green transition is an extremely important societal task that we best undertake as a group. The Green Power Award 2025 focuses on those who, with their projects or initiatives, build bridges between technology, people and green visions. They create commitment and ownership around the green transition and show us how we can collectively make the biggest difference, says Kristian Jensen, CEO of Green Power Denmark.
This year, the jury will emphasize three criteria in the selection of finalists and winners. The projects must therefore be locally rooted and based on commitment from the local community, they must contribute to the green transition of the energy system or the electrification of society, and they must be able to inspire others by setting new standards for future green solutions. The three finalists will be announced on April 16, and the winner will be chosen at the Green Power Denmark Summit on May 20. The prize includes a statuette and DKK 30,000 to be used for a green purpose.
