Six towns in southwest Jutland will receive district heating in the coming years, and a local contractor will be responsible for establishing the pipeline network. Helle Energi A.M.B.A. has just signed a contract worth approximately DKK 170 million, which is the largest single order in the contractor's history. The total construction cost for the entire project is just over DKK 300 million. kr. This is what JV.dk writes.
- It is the largest order in the company's history. Without a doubt. It is also great for the employees. We are secured for the next three years, says Joachim Hovgaard, CEO of Schantz Byg, which is headquartered in Varde.
Schantz Byg employs 45 employees and is currently working on district heating projects in Billum and Janderup. The experience from this will be carried forward in the new project.
The district heating pipelines will be established in the West Jutland villages of Nordenskov, Fåborg, Agerbæk, Næsbjerg, Årre and Starup-Tofterup. The work will start in May, and the project will run until the end of 2027.
