Eurowind Energy has officially opened the Teiu? Solar Park in Romania, the company's fourth in the Eastern European country. The new solar park is an investment of 55 million euros, of which 15 million euros comes from Romania's Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The plant has a capacity of 60.2 MW and is expected to deliver approximately 103.59 GWh of electricity to the national grid annually, Eurowind announced.

- The successful completion and inauguration of the Teiu? Solar Park demonstrates Eurowind Energy's strong commitment to sustainable development in Romania. Our mission is to actively support the creation of a greener, more competitive and resilient energy system, thus contributing to Romania’s journey towards a sustainable future for all,” says Adrian Dobre, Country Manager Eurowind Energy in Romania.

Eurowind Energy is also in the process of establishing a battery energy storage system (BESS) in connection with the Teius solar farm. It will have a capacity of 116.96 MWh and is financed with 43 million euros (incl. VAT), of which 7.6 million euros are in support from the PNRR.

Eurowind Energy expects to operate 124 MW of solar cells in Romania by the end of 2025, and has a total project pipeline of around eight GW.
