ODSHERRED / HORSENS: The Mayoral Party Nyt Odsherred entered into an agreement last week with the Liberal Party and the Social Democrats to change the way renewable energy plants such as solar cells and wind turbines are planned. But the agreement has angered the constituent parties, who after KV21 made Karina Vincentz mayor. This is reported by Sjællandske Nyheder.
- It would have suited Nyt Odsherred to have included the rest of us in it instead of the Social Democrats, says Kim Buurskov (DD), whose party has now chosen to withdraw from the constituent parties. The Danish People's Party's Julie Jacobsen also calls the new alliance remarkable and is surprised that Nyt Odsherred "turns its back on its own constitution".
She subsequently had "a serious talk" with the mayor, and at a meeting on Monday evening the constituent parties received an apology for poor communication, she tells Sjællandske Nyheder.
That is why she continues to support the mayor, and even though some have left the constituent party, most still stand behind a majority agreement between Nyt Odsherred, V, DD, R, K, DF and an independent, which was signed in June 2023.
After the KV21 election, Karina Vincentz took over the mayor's post from the Social Democrats with a narrow majority based on the bourgeois parties. However, all budget agreements during the period have been reached by consensus or with very broad majorities, which included the Social Democrats.
And now the two parties are together with the Liberal Party in the new agreement, which according to Sjællandske Nyheder means that the process of renewable energy is "turned upside down". Instead of designating areas where renewable energy plants can be established, areas where renewable energy plants cannot be established will be defined. This is hoped to avoid major citizen protests.
Split in Horsens
In Horsens, too, unity among the bourgeois parties is struggling. Here, the Conservatives, Liberal Alliance, New Civic Alliance and the Danish Democrats have entered into an electoral alliance up to KV25, but without inviting the Liberal Party, writes Horsens Folkeblad. This is due to dissatisfaction with the fact that the Liberal Party has entered into several budget agreements with the Social Democrats and the left wing without the other bourgeois parties.
- The Liberal Party has chosen not to show solidarity with the rest of the blue bloc, and so we must judge them by their actions. We have gathered that part of the blue family that can get along, says LA's lead candidate, Jakob Bille.
The four parties also emphasize that they will not point to the Liberal Party's group chairman, Martin Ravn, as mayor in this election. They will instead point to the leader of the party in the electoral alliance that gets the most votes - without completely ruling out that it could ultimately end up with a V-mayor.
