In July, electrolysis plant manufacturer Green Hydrogen Systems announced that it was looking for a new CFO, as the then Ole Vesterbæk had resigned from his position with effect from the end of September, as he had found work elsewhere.
Now Green Hydrogen Systems can stop the search for his successor, because with effect from 1 November, Michael Kaalund will take over the position and will also become part of the company's management. This is stated by Green Hydrogen Systems in a company announcement.
The announcement states that Michael Kaalund brings over 20 years of international management experience and "a strong background in finance and general management across a wide range of industries." For the past 15 years, Michael has held CFO roles in both multinational groups and local companies, especially in project-based companies serving the wind industry. His roles have included CFO at Svendborg Brakes and Group CFO at East Metal.
- Michael's track record in finance, combined with his strategic leadership and experience in complex industries, makes him the ideal choice for Green Hydrogen Systems. We are delighted to have him on the team to drive our financial strategy as we scale up our operations, says Peter Friis, CEO of Green Hydrogen Systems.
The new CFO will have something to look forward to in his new position, as Green Hydrogen Systems has presented large losses in recent years, which are also expected for the current year.
