Verdo has just opened new office and production facilities at the East Port in Aalborg. The new building will be the home of the subsidiary Verdo Energy Systems A/S and will bring together the group's North Jutland activities at one address.
The 13,000 square meter building contains both offices and production areas, and around 80 employees will have their daily routine here, the energy group said in a statement.
- By bringing Verdo Energy Systems A/S together its knowledge and production forces under one roof at Port of Aalborg, we are creating a strong connection both internally and externally, where we become part of the development that thrives across industries at Port of Aalborg. In this way, we become an important player in relation to the great focus on the development and production of technologies that support the green transition, and we are naturally very pleased about this, says Ken Larsen, Division Director of Verdo Energy Systems A/S.
Verdo Energy Systems A/S develops and produces energy solutions targeted at large energy plants, and the company will in future be based in the new facilities at the port.
According to Port of Aalborg, the move is another step in the development of the Østhavnen business area, which is described as a growth zone with a focus on innovation and green solutions. Since the establishment of the 'Ankeret' business development, Port of Aalborg has had the goal of strengthening the area as a platform for business development.
- We have a lot of exciting projects underway at the port at the moment, and Verdo fits perfectly into what we want to create in the business park. Namely a strong platform for growth, development and green transition. That is why we are also proud to be able to support Verdo's North Jutland business and contribute directly to strengthening business development in Aalborg, says Kristian Thulesen Dahl, CEO of Port of Aalborg.
