The former technical director and COO of Viking Life-Saving Equipment, Allan Eggers Østergaard, has passed away at the age of 59. Viking, a leading global supplier of advanced safety equipment for both the maritime and offshore industries, has lost a prominent profile that left its mark on the company's success. This is reported by JV.dk.
His former employer will also be remembered to that extent.
– Throughout his many years at Viking, Allan left a lasting mark on the organization with his dedication, leadership and professionalism. In his many years as COO, he has contributed significantly to the development of Viking's production units in Bulgaria, Greece, China and not least the major expansion of the factory in Thailand, where Allan was an important sparring partner for the local management, says CEO Henrik Helsinghof and adds:
– In addition to being a deeply professional COO, Allan was also a good and valued colleague, who with his good humor and a music quiz always contributed to the good atmosphere at festive occasions. Our thoughts go out to Ann, Pernille and the rest of Allan's family during this difficult time.
Allan Østergaard also had a great impact outside of the workplace. He was involved in Esbjerg's business and sports life and held board positions in DI Sydvestjylland and Ribe-Esbjerg HH, among others.
