The Port of Rønne's CEO Lars Nordahl is a new member of the board of directors of the trade organization for Danish commercial ports, Danske Havne. This is stated by the Port of Rønne in a press release.
Danske Havne works to highlight the importance of ports for green transition, local development and economic growth. Therefore, the Director of the Port of Rønne, which plays a central role in the green transition in the Baltic Sea, is a good addition to the board, says Tine Kirk, CEO of Danske Havne.
- The Port of Rønne is a key player in the Danish port sector and a role model when it comes to green transition and development of the port sector in the Baltic Sea. Through his work as CEO of the Port of Rønne, Lars has managed to make the port a vital part of Bornholm's economy and infrastructure. As a result, the port has not only become an important factor for the security of supply on Bornholm, but also a growth engine for the island's many companies. We are very pleased to welcome Lars Nordahl to the board of Danish Ports, and we look forward to benefiting from his experience and vision in the work of developing and strengthening Danish commercial ports, says Tine Kirk.
The Port of Rønne is also an important part of the infrastructure between Bornholm, the rest of Denmark and abroad. In recent years, the port has further consolidated its position as Bornholm's central supply port. The port also functions as the region's most important shipping port for wind turbines and a hub for cruise tourism in the Baltic Sea.
