Kasper Tranberg has been appointed as the new CEO of DCC & Shell Aviation Denmark, one of Denmark's leading suppliers of logistics, consulting and aviation fuels. With the appointment, the 45-year-old aviation profile returns to Danish aviation after several years in international management roles at, among others, Airbus, Topcast and TP Aerospace. This is written by DCC & Shell Aviation Denmark.

Tranberg, who is both a trained pilot and a Cand. Merc., has over 20 years of experience in the industry - both as a captain in companies such as Cimber Sterling, DAT and Ryanair and as a manager responsible for supply chains and business development. The board of directors of DCC & Shell Aviation Denmark has placed emphasis on this combination of operational insight and strategic experience in the selection of the new CEO.

- Our business and the cooperation with the players in Danish aviation is a quite specialized operation. As a trusted partner, advisor and guarantor of fuel supplies and logistics at airports, we have therefore been looking for a management profile with very specific, but also relatively rare, experience and skills, says Christian Heise, a board member of DCC & Shell Aviation Denmark.

The company employs approximately 100 employees and operates throughout Denmark as well as in Greenland and the Faroe Islands. In recent years, it has played a central role in supplying Danish airports and aircraft operators with SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel), and this role as a driving force in aviation's green transition is of great importance to Tranberg.

- Aviation is facing a difficult but necessary transition towards flights that are gradually less climate-friendly. Today, it is with SAF as a central part of the new Refuel-EU regulations that we and the industry must comply with. Here, we already play an important role in relation to compliance, quality and supplies, regardless of the types of aviation fuel involved. That's why it's a really interesting opportunity for me to come on board with one of the prominent players in Denmark, he says.

He points out that new EU regulations such as Refuel-EU will place increased demands on the supply of sustainable fuels and highlights the company's responsibility in this regard.

DCC & Shell Aviation Denmark originated from Dansk Shell, which sold its Danish aviation business to DCC Energi in 2016. In 2019, Shell's global aviation business rejoined the current joint venture with DCC Energi. Kasper Tranberg took office as CEO of the company on June 1.
