The Ineos Group is increasing its ownership stake in the North Sea Solsort and Hejre licenses, after the Danish Energy Agency has approved the transfers.
Inoes E&P A/S and Bayerngas Norge AS entered into an agreement earlier this year in March, whereby Ineos will take over ownership of Spirit Energy Danmark ApS and the Norwegian Spirit Energy Petroleum Denmark AS.
The Spirit Energy companies have owned parts of the Danish oil fields Solsort and Hejre, and with the takeover, Ineos is thus increasing its stake.
For the two licenses in the Solsort field, Ineos is increasing its stake from 35 percent to 65 percent, while Ineos is increasing its stake in the two Hejre fields from 60 percent to 100 percent and from 48 percent to 80 percent, respectively.
The Energy Agency's approval has been made on the condition that Ineos continues to fulfill the previously agreed obligations in the licenses.
