Hvide Sande Port came out of 2024 with a profit of 5.6 million DKK and a total turnover of 45.4 million DKK, which is the second highest level in the port's history.
The financial results are due to progress in several business areas, including fishing, offshore wind and tourism rentals. With the addition of the profit, the port's equity is now over 100 million DKK, the port said in a statement.
- I am happy with the fine financial result, but I am almost even happier that we can maintain turnover in most business areas. For me, it is important that there is space and opportunity for many different types of activities, and both fishing and offshore wind have been doing well in 2024, just as the rental of areas for tourism activities is steadily increasing, not least because the Langsand project has come as far as it has, says chairman of the board of directors for Hvide Sande Port Hans Schneider.
The accounts will now be processed by the Financial Committee of Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality, which is expected to approve it during May.
