The Danish subsidiary of the American oil company Hess, Hess Denmark, has lost approximately 600 million DKK last year, writes JydskeVestkysten

Hess Denmark works in the Danish part of the North Sea at the Syd Arne field, of which Hess owns 61.5 percent. of. But it has not been a good business, with the production facilities having been hit by accidents, Hess Denmark states in its annual report. The average daily production has been 7,100 barrels of oil equivalent, which is five percent lower than the year before.

Not since 2014 has Hess Denmark registered a profit, and the company has lost almost four billion DKK in operating the field over the past five years.
