Global Gravity, which is behind the patented TubeLock system for transporting and handling pipes, which several international oil and gas companies use, is changing its CEO as part of an expansion strategy.

From the turn of the year, the current COO, Tom Rasmussen, will take over the role of CEO from owner Kenneth Hagelskjær in the Esbjerg-based company. The company announced this in a press release.

The change in the CEO position is part of a larger restructuring of the company's management. Kenneth Hagelskjær will become chairman of a newly established board of directors instead of CEO. There will also be a place for Jacob Gehlert, who is currently the HR manager of Global Gravity's sister company, Engineered Market Solutions (EMS).

Kenneth Hagelskjær's resignation as CEO will instead give him time to direct his full focus towards the development of EMS, which is a total supplier of engineering, production and services to the energy industry, including in particular wind, oil/gas and Power-to-X.

- We are in the process of establishing Global Gravity locally in several markets around the world. It requires such a great deal of managerial focus that it is no longer possible for me to be CEO of both EMS and Global Gravity at the same time. We must fulfill the enormous potential that is in Global Gravity, and I am completely comfortable handing over that task to Tom, so that I can focus 100 percent myself. at EMS, says Kenneth Hagelskjær.

Experienced man takes over the CEO position

Tom Rasmussen, who now takes over the CEO position at Global Gravity, has been involved in sales and operational management within offshore and oil/gas for more than 25 years and has worked and lived in several countries in Asia and the Middle East during his career.

In 2019, he returned to Denmark and Global Gravity, where he has played an important role in spreading awareness of TubeLock, which came to the market in 2010.

- The appointment is a big pat on the back and a recognition of the results we have achieved. Since I joined Global Gravity six years ago, we have increased our revenue sixfold and are now active in several European countries, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Guyana and well on the way to Brazil. We have proven that TubeLock works – that the system optimizes the handling of pipes and saves both money and CO2. That is why we are also seeing more and more that it is the customers who call us for a collaboration and not the other way around, says Tom Rasmussen.
