"Very satisfactory" - this is how the Port of Frederikshavn itself describes the financial results of the port's operations in 2022. It is not without reason that these words can be used.
The port can thus note an increase in revenue of 46 percent, an increase in gross profit of 66 percent compared to 2021 and finally an increase in operating profit (after depreciation) of 207 percent compared to 2021. Depreciation has increased by 160 percent in the same period, the port states in a statement.
Specifically, the port can present a profit of 66.003 million. DKK, which is 61.638 million. DKK more than the result for 2021.
- We note with satisfaction that we are now seeing the results of the new activities, which primarily resulted from the expansion of the Port of Frederikshavn in 2 stages. Revenue is in line with expectations, despite the fact that we have not yet realized the revenue that Stena Oil's bunker terminal will generate. In addition to the increase in revenue and gross profit, we are very pleased to note that the new activities have so far created over 400 jobs at the companies in the port, says Chairman of the Board Bo Uggerhøj, he continues:
- The development is in line with our expectations, and we look forward to being in full operation (including the bunker terminal) from 3-4. quarter 2023. It should be noted at the same time that the installments in 2018-2021 amount to DKK 165 million, which is taken from the port's operating liquidity - which corresponds to 3 years of turnover in the original port, so it shows a little about the robustness of the company.
The port's CEO Mikkel Seedorff Sørensen also emphasizes that the positive trends seem to continue in the future.
- In addition to the projects already completed, where with a completed bunker terminal in 2023 we can look forward to a full year of operation in 2024, there is already demand for additional hinterland areas and not least quay facilities. We are currently working to expand our activities with both existing and new customers - demand is steadily increasing as the new companies are in operation - and several new ones would like to be part of the development in Frederikshavn, he says.
