The port company ADP A/S, which operates Fredericia and Nyborg ports, among other things, will come out of the first half of 2023 with an ordinary result of 74.8 million. DKK, which is a record-breaking half-year result and 6.7 million. DKK better than the first half of 2022, which was the best half-year result to date.

- ADP delivers another solid half-year result, and it documents that we are continuing the development with historic growth rates at the ADP ports and in Taulov Dry Port. A first half of 2023 with increasing cargo volumes, a rapidly developing property portfolio and increased turnover means that ADP continues to deliver for the benefit of nearby areas and owner municipalities, says Christian Herskind, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ADP A/S.

In the first half of 2023, ADP has had a growth of 3.5 percent in total cargo turnover - corresponding to 4.2 million. tons - compared to the same period in 2022, which was a record year.

The increase in freight turnover is due to continued high activity in containers and fast-bulk - two business areas that together make a significant contribution to the high tonnage at the port terminals, ADP said in a press release.

Fast bulk has had an overall growth of 31 percent compared to the same period last year, this growth is particularly driven by a large increase at the Port of Nyborg. The Port of Fredericia has also maintained its record high tonnage in containers. In the first half of 2023, the container business has thus stabilized at the same high level as in 2022.

In addition, ADP can also note that rental activity in Taulov Dry Port continues at a high level. In the first half of 2023, construction of Stage II of 61,896 m2 of warehouse and logistics construction was completed, which is fully leased. Therefore, construction of Stage III of 97,000 m2 of low-emission warehouse construction has been initiated, which will be completed in mid-2024.

Although the first half of ADP has been record-breaking, the port company does not expect to be able to fully live up to the full 2022 financial statements, which were also record financial statements measured for the entire year. Instead, it expects a positive result for 2023 slightly below the 2022 level, which offered a total turnover of 195.8 million. DKK, corresponding to an increase of 10.2 percent. and an operating profit (EBITDA) of 94.2 million.
