The ports of Fredericia and Nyborg as well as Taulov Dry Port are owned and operated by ADP A/S, and development is booming there. However, the port company believes that the development potential is even greater, and this can be achieved through better political frameworks for the Danish ports, which are increasingly competing with international players.

The port of Fredericia is currently undergoing a port expansion and in connection with Taulov Dry Port, the company is aiming to become a multimodal hub for transport and logistics. To support these ambitions, ADP has now chosen to join the Confederation of Danish Enterprise, the port company said in a statement.

- At ADP, we have great ambitions for the green transition, and we have the prerequisites to support Denmark's climate goals, among other things, through our energy infrastructure company ADP Energy Infrastructure. This requires, for example, smoother regulatory approval of green projects. In addition, work must be done on the rhetoric of the Port Act so that it becomes technology-neutral, so that it is possible for ports to establish and use solar cells on their roofs. Today, the Danish Chamber of Commerce is deeply committed to the green transition in both the energy and transport areas and shares ADP's wishes for future port development, so there is a lot we can tackle together, says Rune D. Rasmussen, CEO of ADP.

Brian Mikkelsen, CEO of the Danish Chamber of Commerce, agrees that the collaboration should help ensure a strong, green transport hub with the clear ambition of making Denmark an even more competitive country in transport and logistics and in the green transition.

- In the Danish Chamber of Commerce, the green transition, not least within the transport area, is a priority agenda that we are working hard to promote together with our member companies and in good cooperation with decision-makers and authorities. That's why we are really happy that ADP has chosen to become part of Dansk Erhverv, says Brian Mikkelsen.
