Lars Aagaard's problematic case about the electricity grid's delays and the withheld press release from Energinet has now finally been connected to the government's internal lines. This is shown by a response from the Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard (M) to the Danish Parliament. Here, the minister replies that "the matter has been discussed in the government".

This emphasizes that the minister and the government have been aware of the problematic case, while the opposition was not involved. During the course of the case, this has been the point of criticism from parties to both the left and right of the government.

The opposition politicians are very dissatisfied with the fact that the minister, in their view, has withheld important information about a delayed electricity grid prior to political negotiations on the subject. The case began when the media outlet Zetland was able to describe that a press release from Energinet was withdrawn after dialogue with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. The press release described that there were massive delays on the electricity grid.

The specific press release and assessment were not delivered to the public or the parties outside the government. Zetland has since reported that the matter was thoroughly processed in the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities with a view to being discussed in the important government committee, the Green Committee.

Top figures such as Minister of Defense and Venstre chairman Troels Lund Poulsen, Minister of Finance Nicolai Wammen (S) and Minister of Foreign Affairs and moderate chairman Lars Løkke Rasmussen are sitting here.  It has not been clear whether the matter ended up on the table in the Green Committee.  But now the Minister for Climate confirms that the matter was discussed in the government - without specifying a specific forum.  Lars Aagaard apologizes in his response.

- I would like to repeat my apology to the rapporteurs for not receiving the specific information about Energinet's replanning in connection with the negotiation process. The rapporteurs should have had that, and that has always been my wish, it says.

- It did not happen. It is a mistake on the part of the ministry, which I, as the responsible minister, both regret and apologize for.
