69 nominated candidates will compete for 47 seats in Nrgi's board of representatives when elections are held in five districts between January 27 and February 9.
The elections will be held in Norddjurs (peace election), Syddjurs, Samsø and Tunø, Horsens, as well as Hedensted and Vejle, where approximately 90,000 cooperative members in total can vote for their favorite candidates. This is stated by Nrgi in a press release.
The board of representatives is an important sparring partner for the company's board and management and plays a central role in decisions that affect the everyday lives of many people in East Jutland, says Jens Myrup Pedersen, chairman of the board of directors at Nrgi.
- Our board of representatives is first and foremost involved in representing our 235,000 cooperative members and their values. By voting, you are actively helping to choose the representatives who will be involved in making important decisions – from who will sit on our board, to the expansion and security of the electricity grid, investments in green solutions and which local projects and enthusiasts will receive support through Nrgi's value pool, says Jens Myrup Pedersen.
Therefore, there is a clear call from the chairman of the board to all those entitled to vote to make their voices heard.
- The more people who participate, the stronger our common foundation will be for making important decisions about, among other things, the future energy supply and the green transition – decisions that not only affect you, but also your neighbors, friends and family, says Jens Myrup Pedersen.
The entire Nrgi board of representatives consists of 100 members.
