Vestforbrænding has requested its owner municipalities for a total loan framework of 10.98 billion DKK for investments in 2025-2030. This is evident from the agenda for an upcoming meeting of the Municipality of Copenhagen's Climate, Environment and Technology Committee.
According to GridTech, 440 million DKK will be invested in the project. DKK of the loan framework will be used to expand the district heating network, upgrade flue gas condensation plants and modernise IT and security systems in 206.
Furthermore, according to the media, DKK 10.54 billion will be allocated to the Heating Plan 2030, stage 2, as well as the establishment of new plants and low-temperature pipes. The loans will be taken out from KommuneKredit and distributed according to population. The Municipality of Copenhagen is thus liable for 91.7 million kroner of the 2026 loan and 2.25 billion kroner of the loan for the Heating Plan 2030, while the Municipality of Ishøj does not participate in the liability for stage 2.
