Hofor, the Capital Region Utility Company, is changing its organization to create the green welfare of the future and at the same time ensure that the company delivers water, heat, gas and district cooling to one million customers every day and focuses specifically on realizing the ambitious climate protection measures and wind and solar cell projects. The company states this in a press release.
- Every day, we deliver water, heat, gas and district cooling to one million customers with a strong focus on making it work. The extensive supply network in the capital is a solid foundation for Denmark's strong climate results. Creating security and satisfaction among our customers is the crucial task we must deliver on every single day, says Hofor's CEO, Henrik Plougmann Olsen. He continues:
- We must ensure that our strong supply network is future-proof and more sustainable. Large, ambitious projects on climate protection with cloudburst tunnels and new wind and solar cell projects have already been decided. We must deliver them according to plan. More than ever, there is a need to create a sustainable transition.
The organizational change strengthens the focus on both strategy and daily business. Five new business areas are being established under a strengthened management. It is intended to ensure better synergies across the business and increased focus on ensuring that the company's overall deliveries are delivered in high quality and on schedule, while also allowing HOFOR to plan future solutions.
- The municipalities in the capital area have made ambitious decisions that future-proof our supply network and create a green transition. Hofor must deliver these projects, and we do so with pride and a great sense of responsibility. We must deliver safely, greenly and cheaply for the benefit of citizens and society, says Hofor's Chairman of the Board, Susanne Juhl.
The five new business areas are: Water & Wastewater, Energy, Supply Strategy & Wind, Construction & Civil Engineering and Finance & Customer Center. The business areas bring together a number of central functions such as planning and operations to create strong professional units and achieve synergy effects across the organization.
The organizational change will take effect on January 1, 2023.
