The Nordic region's largest independent energy supplier, Mind Energy (formerly Energi Danmark), presents annual accounts with a profit before tax of DKK 376 million for 2024. This is the second best result in the company's history, surpassed only by the turbulent year 2022, which was affected by the energy crisis, and a significant improvement compared to 2023. This is according to Mind Energy.
- These are solid and good accounts that we present today. The profit of DKK 376 million before tax is a good deal better than the expected result of between DKK 250 and 300 million. It is satisfactory that we have customer access and that the positive result is supported by good trends in both our customer-oriented business, where we help producers get their energy onto the market and Nordic companies buy energy, and in the part of our business where we do market trading with our own capital and own risk, says Mind Energy CEO Louise Hahn, who is also CEO of Mind Energy.
The annual profit after tax came to 292 million DKK, while net revenue was approximately 76.5 billion DKK. According to the company, the result shows that Mind Energy has been able to navigate an energy market characterized by high price volatility and uncertainty.
2024 also saw organizational changes. A new pan-Nordic strategy led to the merger of the companies in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in April under the name Mind Energy.
- Across the four Nordic countries, we are the largest independent energy supplier in the Nordic region. We bring all that expertise, data and experience closer together so that customers can get stronger advice and even sharper execution in the increasingly dynamic energy markets. We would like to reflect this in one common identity and one common name, says Louise Hahn.
As a group, Mind Energy is an international energy company with significant energy trading activities throughout Europe, the UK, the Balkans and Australia. The company is owned by the two cooperatives Andel and NRGi.
