Green Power Denmark has implemented an organizational change, where the number of departments is reduced and employees are grouped into larger units. At the same time, a new department is being established with a focus on electrification of Denmark and Europe. This is stated by Green Power Denmark in a press release.

According to the organization, the changes are intended to create better coherence between the different professional areas and strengthen cross-functional work. The changes have come into effect, and work to implement the new structure is underway.

- With the organizational adjustment, we are gathering the professional employees into fewer, but larger and more cross-functional departments. In this way, we are building on Green Power Denmark's distinctive feature, namely the deep energy professional knowledge, while at the same time strengthening the basic idea behind the association, namely ensuring coherence and value creation across the green value chain, says Kristian Jensen, CEO of Green Power Denmark.

Organizational changes in Green Power Denmark are the result of cost-saving plans. These changes have led to a change in the contingent model, which results in less income for the industry organization, Kristian Jensen has previously told EnergiWatch.

The changes are being made, among other things, on the basis that several developers, including European Energy and Eurowind, have left the organization in the past year. In January, the industry organization also stated that it had approximately 1,350 members – 150 fewer than the year before.

At the same time, but independently of the organizational changes, Deputy CEO Jan Hylleberg has chosen to leave Green Power Denmark and will stop no later than September 20. Green Power Denmark is in the process of finding his replacement as Director of Industry and Energy Production. In addition, Stine Leth Rasmussen will join on August 1 as Deputy CEO of Infrastructure.
