European Energy has sold a majority stake in a 21 MW wind portfolio in Germany to Alterric. The deal strengthens the collaboration between the two companies, which have been working together on wind projects in the area where the turbines are located for several years. This is stated by European Energy in a press release.

The project consists of four Enercon wind turbines, three of which are already in operation. The last one is expected to be put into operation later in 2025, bringing the total capacity to 21 MW. The assets are covered by a 20-year support scheme with a guaranteed settlement price.

- Alterric is a trusted partner for us in the German market, and we are pleased to complete this transaction with them, says Jens Peter Zink, Deputy CEO of European Energy.

According to the company, the sale is part of the strategy to release capital from existing assets for new investments in renewable energy and PtX projects in Europe. Germany remains a key market where European Energy continues to see growth opportunities in both onshore wind and integrated energy solutions.

Earlier this year, European Energy sold another German wind portfolio of 33 MW, which the company said demonstrates continued interest in the company's renewable energy projects in the country.
