ODSHERRED: A decision from the Danish Utilities Authority on the heat prices in Odsherred Varme may have implications for the rest of the district heating sector. The Authority has assessed that the prices during the company's reconstruction have been too high. and according to Energy Supply, a professor is now warning that the decision may have broader consequences.

With such a decision, I believe that potential creditors will be a little more careful about granting credit, says Bent Ole Gram Mortensen, an expert in energy and supply law at the University of Southern Denmark, to the media.
For Odsherred Varme, the decision has a direct impact on the plan that was to ensure the company's survival. The rescue plan was based on the financial creditors getting the majority of their receivables covered, financed via the high heating prices. However, the Danish Electricity Authority has now assessed these prices as unreasonable.
