It will now be administratively easier for installers to install medium-sized solar cell systems on companies, apartment buildings, schools, town halls and other buildings.
The reason is that Green Power Denmark is expanding the so-called positive list for inverters and electricity production systems. The positive list includes systems that comply with a number of technical conditions for grid connection. With the expansion of the list, it will be easier to install solar systems of up to 125 kW, according to Green Power Denmark.
- The positive list has so far included systems of up to 50 kW. Now we are expanding the list to 125 kW, so that many more plants can be technically pre-approved, says consultant Tobias Fyllgraf from Green Power Denmark.
The approximately 40 Danish electricity grid companies use the positive list to approve plants, so with the blue stamp the new plant can be allowed to interact with the public electricity grid. With the positive list, the grid companies avoid having to review technical documentation for each individual grid connection.
The new plants (50-125 kW) must still make a calculation for electricity quality in advance of grid connection. Plants below 50 kW do not need to do this.
- We are expanding the positive list based on the expectation that it will further ease administration for both the plant owner, grid company and installer. The expansion will also mean that the connection process will probably be faster than before. This way we can install more renewable energy in Denmark more quickly, says Tobias Fyllgraf.
The positive list consists of several different lists, which are lists for solar inverters, energy storage systems, two-way charging stations for electric vehicles, small wind turbines and a list for 'other installations'. The list grows every year, and now includes 690 solar inverters - of which 92 were added this year, 213 batteries and other energy storage systems - of which 47 were added this year, 21 wind turbines - of which 15 were added this year, a two-way charging station (V2G) and 12 'other installations'.
