Greenvolt has entered into a project financing agreement of 35 million euros with Ringkjøbing Landbobank for the construction and operation of a hybrid project in Høegholm on Zealand. The project combines 97.36 MW of solar energy with a battery storage of 55–60 MW.

. Financing sustainable and responsible projects is fully in line with Ringkjøbing Landbobank's strategy. We are pleased to support Greenvolt in the project in Høegholm, which has a clear regional significance and contributes to Denmark's national energy goals, says Jørn Nielsen, CEO of Ringkjøbing Landbobank A/S, in a statement.

The hybrid plant is planned to deliver around 97 GWh per year and is designed to increase flexibility in the electricity grid and optimize the use of renewable energy. The project is under construction and is expected to be ready for commercial operation in the first quarter of 2026.

- Hybrid projects like this, combining solar and battery storage, not only make renewable energy production more efficient, but also help us strengthen and differentiate our assets and increase the trust of institutional partners, including financial institutions, says João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group.

Greenvolt, which is part of KKR's portfolio, currently has a development pipeline of 14.1 GW in large energy projects in Europe, the US and Asia, including solar, wind and battery solutions. In battery storage, the company has a total pipeline of 4.7 GW.
