With the aim of creating an increased focus on securing the foundation behind the company's commercial strategy, where, among other things, the integration of Telia Danmark and poor results in the internet and TV business are in focus, Norlys has decided to make a number of changes in leading positions.
- Our internet and TV business is having a hard time and will deliver a result that is far from the budget. This is not satisfactory. At the same time, there is a need for a faster integration of Telia Danmark into Norlys. That is why we are creating a new team in Norlys A/S to ensure progress, says Gert Vinther Jørgensen, who is the group CEO of Norlys, in a press release.
Today we say goodbye to CEO Claus Flyger Pejstrup, CFO Jesper Vinter Barslund in Norlys A/S and Director of Norlys Digital, Sune Nabe Frederiksen.
- Claus, Jesper and Sune have all three made important contributions to Norlys' development, and I would like to say a big thank you to them for that. When we change management, it is first and foremost an expression that the situation has changed, and therefore we also have to change our approach to the task, says Gert Vinther Jørgensen.
Temporary solution in place
Ulf Lund, who is currently Director of Corporate Affairs in Norlys, will take over the role as Director of Norlys A/S for a temporary period. He has, among other things, director experience from TDC.
- Ulf has broad telco experience, a solid foundation in the Norlys group, and he has in-depth knowledge of the entire Telia transaction, which he led. At the same time, Ulf is a good team player and a motivating leader, and that is why I am pleased that he has agreed to take on the task, says Gert Vinther Jørgensen.
In order to sharpen the focus on the merger of the telecom area, Norlys' energy business will continue as an independent company for the time being with Mads Brøgger as CEO.
- This is a major and important transformation that we must succeed in, and it requires that we reduce complexity and move closer together. Therefore, we must create one integrated telecom business as soon as possible, which is both profitable and future-proof. I look forward to contributing to this, says Ulf Lund.
Erik Andersen, who is currently Director of Sales and Products in Norlys' Internet and TV business, will take over the role of Director of that business area. Carsten Dyrup Revsbech will join Norlys A/S as CFO initially for a temporary period.
