Nina Høegh Jensen will take over the position of CEO of Energinet Eltransmission on April 1, 2025. She will be in charge of building and operating the Danish electricity transmission grid, which will both ensure high security of supply and move green energy from solar and wind to consumers. Energinet writes.

- The electricity grid is the foundation for the green transition. Therefore, we must ensure a rapid and efficient expansion of the grid. Currently, we are challenged in our ability to deliver construction projects on time and at competitive costs. It is my clear belief that Nina, with her strong operational and commercial background, can help us achieve those goals. She has experience from organizations and areas with high complexity, many changes and high demands, so she is a good match for the task, says Søren Dupont Kristensen, Chief Operating Officer at Energinet, who also thanks Henrik Riis for his efforts over many years.

Experience from the oil, gas and wind industry

Nina Høegh Jensen is a qualified engineer and has an MBA from Henley. She has held leading roles in both the oil and gas industry and the wind industry. Previously, she has been CEO of TotalEnergies in Abu Dhabi and Italy and COO in the wind industry.

- It is difficult to underestimate the enormous importance of Eltransmission in the green transition. For the same reason, there are also high expectations that we must deliver on. I know that many initiatives are already underway to create greater speed in the expansion and reinforcement of the electricity grid. I look forward to putting my experience to use, learning more about all the initiatives that are underway and working with talented colleagues to strengthen it even more, says Nina Høegh Jensen.

Energinet Eltransmission's task is to build and operate the Danish electricity transmission grid, which both ensures high security of supply and supports the green transition.

With Nina Høegh Jensen at the helm, Energinet wants to increase the pace of expansion of the electricity grid so that it can handle future demands and move green electricity from solar and wind to consumers.
